Paul Hopkins Paul Hopkins is the Senior Partner at Carter Newell and leads the Insurance team.
Paul has advised clients on the complete cross section of insurance-related matters for more than 18 years. This experience includes advising on all aspects of insurance law from general, property and injury liability to professional liability and aviation insurance.
Paul’s extensive experience in this area, both locally and internationally, means he is regularly approached by underwriters and brokers to assist at the front end of major corporate and institutional accounts to provide advice with respect to risk management and claims management issues. He has advised clients on all aspects of policy wording and is often engaged to assist on major claims where employing a thorough and proactive claims management approach is crucial to ensuring clients’ losses are minimised.
He is committed to prompt, proactive, result-driven legal services and ensures this philosophy is practised throughout the firm. As senior partner, Paul has a ‘hands-on’ role in the growth and development of the firm.
Paul is an appointed member of the Queensland Law Society’s accident compensation and tort law reform section, as well as a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, the Australian Professional Indemnity Group, the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand and the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand. |
