Construction & Engineering Team

 

Our Construction & Engineering Team has a local and national reputation and client base, with varied expertise in tenders advice; contract advice and negotiation; advice with infrastructure projects; to specialist arbitration and negotiation skills.  This close knit team is very supportive and dedicated to the job at hand. 

 

  • Senior Front End Construction Solicitor

This role will cover all aspects of front end construction, and will involve drafting and commenting upon standard forms of documentations used both nationally and internationally. You will also be providing detailed advice on the negotiating and drafting of construction documentation as well as commercial risk assessments for major contracts.  This role will ideally suit someone with at least 4 years post admission experience in front end construction and has a good understanding of standard contracts and the Payments Act.

 

  •   Senior Construction Litigation Solicitor

This varied role will work alongside leading litigators on high profile, significant construction projects.  You will require at least 4 years post admission experience in construction litigation and sound knowledge of the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (Qld).

 

 

Commercial Dispute Resolution

 

  • Solicitor

Our Commercial Dispute Resolution team provides expertise in disputes of all forms across the insurance, construction, property, retail and manufacturing industries, along with professional services firms and financial institutions.
 
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and Associates, gaining exposure to a broad range of challenging client work.  This role will entail a combination of professional indemnity and commercial litigation work.  Therefore you will have a minimum of 3 years post admission experience in the in both insurance and the resolution of commercial disputes and solvency matters, or have a base knowledge in this area and a strong desire to further your career in this field.

  • WP Operator


An exciting 3 month contract opportunity has arisen for a part-time Word Processing Operator to join our team and work 4 - 5 days a week from 10.00 am – 2.00 pm.  As a Word Processing Operator you will team up with our morning and afternoon WP operators to provide first class WP support across the firm.  You will be responsible for creating, amending and reformatting documents, dicta-typing, comparing documents, creating PowerPoint presentations and assisting with overload WP work from across the firm. 

 

To be successful in the role, you will possess 5+ years legal experience across all legal areas, particularly in litigation; minimum 80 wpm with high accuracy; advanced Word 2003 skills, intermediate PowerPoint skills and sound knowledge of Excel; client service skills and focus; strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise; and have a professional team approach.
